Release 3.0: The Omega Update!

Update 3.0 is here and bringing something big, the release of Omega creatures!

What’s New?

Introducing Omegas!

Omega creatures are a whole new type of creature stalking your Jurassic World!

Unlike any other creature in Jurassic World, Omegas are trainable creatures that can increase their potential from simple starting creatures to among the most powerful in the game!

Collect Omegas on the Map at any player Level, and then evolve them using Coins and DNA, just like all other creatures. As you Evolve your creature, you will unlock the capacity to earn new abilities, enhancing your creature!

Omega creatures, such as Common, Rare, or Epic, do not have a rarity. Because Omega creatures don’t have a rarity, they are rarity restriction exempt! That means if you bring an upgraded Omega into a battle event, their upgrades will be automatically scaled to match the highest rarity allowed in the event in question.
For example, in a Tournament that allows Common, Rare, or Epic creatures, your upgraded Omega creature’s upgrades will be scaled to the level matching Epic.

Find out more about Omegas here, and start exploring the Map to find them!

What’s Fixed?

Some pesky bugs have been squashed for 3.0! Here are a few of the most notable fixes that you are likely to enjoy:

  • The visual effect on the Goring Charge ability (Styracosaurus Lux) has been fixed.
  • Further fixes were made concerning the Sorting and Filtering options in the collection screen.
  • Fixed an issue wrongly displaying some creatures at level 26 in a player’s collection after participating in a skill tournament.
  • Rexy’s Dominant Roar behavior was adjusted to properly reflect the design intention
  • Dracovenator’s Frustrating Impact’s description now properly reflects its behavior.

We’re currently working on solutions for the following issues:

  • Players might have trouble starting a friendly battle.
  • During a raid session, the game can switch to landscape mode on some devices—causing UI issues.
    • This is not intended, as the game is supposed to stay in portrait mode.
  • Expired DNA Donation requests sometimes remain in the Alliance Chat.
  • Players may sometimes experience issues while playing the Daily Incubator Video Ad.
  • Leveling up an Omega creature can sometimes cause issues with the display Creature page.
    • This can be fixed by leaving and re-entering the screen.
  • Players can rarely experience issues —including occasional crashes— when interacting with the Creature Tracker.
  • After purchasing a new ability for an Omega Creature, the UI might not correctly reflect the new amount of DNA.
    • Closing and relaunching the app will fix the issue.

A note on data collecting:

We’d like to take a moment and thank everyone who has been participating in our numerous surveys and providing us with constructive feedback on our forums and social channels. We believe in player feedback and although changes rarely occur immediately, the very tangible data we collect, especially from our surveys, help guide us on our roadmaps and future optimizations.
