Update 3.23 – Release Notes

Release 3.23: The Fall Update

Get ready to discover our first update of the Fall season with new updates and dinosaurs!

What’s New?

Travel Hub now includes more cities!

We fixed Istanbul to be in the Europe zone. This location was functioning correctly, but was pretending it was in Asia. It does pose the most interesting question, “Why did Constantinople get the works?”

Also we added Jakarta and Manila to the Oceania zone, we hope you have a good time out there.

And finally, we added São Paulo to the South America zone! There are so many interesting things to visit!

COMING SOON

Get ready to revamp your weekend battles! We’re working behind the scenes on an all-new Tournament experience designed to bring fairer matchmaking, a new league system, and fresh reward structures to Jurassic World Alive.

Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to the launch!

COMING SOON

The wait is almost over to streamline your dinosaur evolution! In November, we’ll be introducing the Max Level Up & Fuse feature, inspired by your community votes.

Say goodbye to repetitive tapping with new multi-level progression, press-and-hold controls with acceleration, and seamless Amber integration.

Stay tuned for more details.

PELOROPLITES – EPIC

Peloroplites is a walking fortress of a dinosaur, who only grows more resilient and ferocious the more it gets hit. Prepare some defenses of your own, or else Peloroplites will slowly walk all over your team.

To give you a better understanding of how to use Peloroplites, here are a few dinosaurs it does exceptionally well against, followed by dinosaurs that Peloroplites should avoid at all costs.

Advantage:

  • Blue
  • Panthera
  • Compsognathus

Disadvantage:

  • Tyrannosaurus Rex
  • Allosaurus Gen2
  • Pulmonoscorpios

What’s Updated?

Basic Scents Adjustments

We made adjustments to different aspects of the basic Scents, the goal is to provide a more concentrated and immersive darting experience, more reasonable distribution and pricing, and more leeway to choose the creatures you’d like.

Following are the details of Scents’ changes:

1. Basic Settings:

  • Rare and Epic Scents
    • Scent’s duration reduces from 20 min to 6 min.
    • Spawn interval from 120 seconds to 37 seconds.
    • Number of creatures attracted each spawn increases from 1 to 2 creatures.
    • These will have shorter sessions with faster spawn intervals.
  • Giga Scents
    • Scent’s duration reduces from 3 h to 1 h.
    • Spawn interval from 120 seconds to 75 seconds.
    • This will have a longer session to be used in a more leisure manner.
  • Common Scent Capsule
    • Scent capsule’s duration reduced from 5 min to 3 min.
    • Spawn interval from 120 seconds to 37 seconds.
    • This will have shorter sessions with faster spawn intervals.

2. Market Price:

  • Rare Scent’s price change from 200 Cash to 170 Cash.
  • Epic Scent’s price change from 1000 Cash to 700 Cash.

3. Where To Collect:

  • The Scent capsule (Common) in the free incubator in MARKET will be replaced by the Large Scent capsule.
    • Duration: 10 min.
    • Spawn interval: 75 seconds .
    • Number of creatures attracted each spawn: 2.

4. The dinosaurs attracted by the Rare and Epic Scents have changed:

  • Rare scents only attract Rare creatures.
  • Epic scent only attracts Epic creatures.
  • Dinosaurs now spawn at different times of the day, making it easier to track down the creatures you’re looking for:
    • Dawn: Arena and Park creatures.
    • Day: Local 1,2,3,4 and Park creatures.
    • Dusk: PVE, Raids, Missions, with a very small chance of Hybrid creatures.
    • Night: Local 1,2,3,4, Park, with a small chance of Hybrid creatures.

From these changes, we will gather all the feedback and potentially extend this change to the Thematic Scents in the future.

We have implemented the following adjustments to improve your experience:

  • Location fix: Istanbul is now featured in the Europe zone.
    • Manila and Bangkok locations have been fixed. Due to their proximity to water, their limited space prevented half of the dinosaurs from spawning.
  • Travel Hub Supply Drop penalty removed: Supply Drops in Travel Hub now grant rewards equal to long-range Supply Drops in GPS Mode.
  • VIP Enhancement: Travel Hub VIP radius has been increased from 275m to 280m.

We’re continuing to investigate the low appearance rate of Special Event Supply Drops (ESDs) in the Travel Hub. Since this is a complex issue, please expect a few months before we find a permanent fix. Ultimately, we want the Travel Hub to be a fully viable and inclusive way to play for everyone, whether you’re out exploring or catching up from the comfort of your home.

We appreciate your patience as we work through this!

No Dinosaur Updates this time around, but stay tuned as we’ll have more coming in November!

What’s Fixed?

Some pesky bugs have been squashed for 3.23! Here are a few of the most notable fixes that you are likely to enjoy:

Bug Fixes:

  • Returning from the Travel Hub after darting a creature turns the Creature Tracker off.
  • Fixed Panthera Blytheae’s animation Swap-in animation.
  • Changed the victory condition of the third node of the Course 5 of the campaign, making it easier to validate with a high level dinosaur.

Known Issues:

  • When scrolling through the list of eligible creatures in the Team Select screen, the last row of dinos is sometimes cut off.
  • The green notification dot might still be displayed after collecting the DNA from a Donation in the Alliance hub.
  • A red notification dot might be displayed on the Achievements menu button even though no achievements were unlocked.
  • The game might freeze at times, e.g. when collecting an incubator or when the daily reward screen opens.
  • Players who recently joined or created an Alliance might see the Alliance Championship reward button in a Collect state even though nothing can be collected at the time.
  • When tracking the Dimetrodon on the world, the game might wrongly indicate its presence in a specific area.
  • In Isla Event, during the Refrenantem Boss fight, the first round does not start after the player selects all abilities; the player has to wait for the timer to reach 0.
  • At times, no creatures spawn on the map after the game has launched.
  • Low end devices can experience freeze and performance issues.
  • Care actions might not count towards Alliance missions.
  • Player’s Alliance Points show as Not Qualified after a tournament ended.
  • Creature Markers do not persist when switching between menus or after relaunching the game.
  • Some players might only receive the participation reward despite being ranked in a tournament.
  • When in the Travel Hub, scents are spawning creatures based on GPS zone instead of hub zone.
  • During Brawl Battle, the abilities in the ability initiative track might not be displayed in the right order.
  • The “You’re going too fast!” pop-up might appear while using the Travel Hub.

A note on data collecting:

We’d like to take a moment and thank everyone who has been participating in our numerous surveys and providing us with constructive feedback on our forums and social channels. We believe in player feedback and although changes rarely occur immediately, the very tangible data we collect, especially from our surveys, help guide us on our roadmaps and future optimizations.
