Update 3.16 – Release Notes

Release 3.16: Science Gone Wrong

This update, get ready for new dinosaurs, improved abilities, and science experiments that keep going very wrong on Isle St Hubert!

What’s New?

AQUILOPS – RARE

This Isle Saint-Hubert exclusive dinosaur lives in flocks and is very social! As herbivores, they can warn other members of the flock to flee when sensing predators. Its crested skull gives it additional protection in case it is cornered, but it can always count on the help of its other flock members.

Come face to face against this trio in a special Spotlight Event on October 2nd!

AQUISAURUS – LEGENDARY

The introduction of horns to this dinosaur has led it to diversify its herbivore diet, rounding up the grasses, berries and leaves with tubers and roots. These horns are also sharp, preventing frontal assaults as well as allowing charging attacks that can pierce through tough scales. Yet, it keeps its lithe body giving it the speed to escape alongside its flock when endangered.

Create the Aquisaurus from Aquilops and Lystrosaurus DNA!

Season 1 is Coming To An End

The inaugural season of the Isle of Trials will soon come to an end. Make sure to complete your track by October 1st for a last chance to face off against the D. rex on the Island.

And get ready for your next visit to the Isle – sooner than you think!

What’s Updated?

Raids No Longer Limited to Player’s Range

Ever see a cool Raid on the map you wanted to join, but it was just out of range?

Good news! As of this update, players can now join raid groups for any raid that they can see on their map, even if it’s outside of their event range.

October will have some challenging new raids to take down – you’ll no longer need to distort your day to get a battle in.

Draco Intrepidus

Draco Intrepidus’ reactive passive simply did not feel worth unlocking. As such, we went back to its parent’s enhancement passive trigger to resolve that issue.

Tier 5 Enhancement Passive

      • Now activates if affected by Damage Reduction at the end of turn, changed from Swap Prevention

Atromolistis

Atromolistis’ design had a flaw where during mirror matches, lower level dinos often had the upper hand. We are addressing this issue with these changes.

Stats

    • Health: 4800, up from 4600

Resistances

    • Swap Prevention: 100%, up from 75%
    • Reduce Damage: 25%, down from 50%

Ardontognathus

Ardontoganthus has been lacking love and firepower for quite some time, so we are giving it both at the same time. We want this flock to feel more competitive at the Unique level. Float like a butterfly, sting like a tiger, right?

Stats

    • Health: 3650, up from 3300
    • Attack: 1350, up from 1300
    • Speed: 126, up from 123
    • Critical Damage: 133%, up from 125%

    • Definite Alert Frenzy now bypasses Dodge in both Secure and Threatened states

Tier 5 Enhancement:

    • Reactive Passive is now : At the Start of Turn, if opponent is Shielded, Destroy Shields targeting Highest HP opponent

Stygidaryx

Statistically speaking, Stygidaryx is the worst unique in the Arena. It has the lowest play percentage and performance. It definitely needs some adjustments. This is a first attempt to make it more reliable, and more in line with today’s standards. We’ll keep monitoring the arenas and make adjustments as necessary.

What’s Fixed?

Some pesky bugs have been squashed for 3.16! Here are a few of the most notable fixes that you are likely to enjoy:

Bug Fixes:

  • The Critical Chance Increase of Indochicyon’s Illusion now lasts 2 turns, as intended. (See Ability Updates for more info)
  • Leucistic Baryonyx’s Echolocate now only targets Self in Brawl battles, as originally intended.
  • In Isle of Trials Boss battles, abilities that target team will now display correctly.
  • In Isle of Trials Boss battles, players can now change their abilities mid-turn correctly. If a player changes their mind, and selects a 2nd ability, the 2nd ability selected will be used instead of the 1st.
  • Players’ dinosaurs will no longer have a level cap in Apex Raids. Players can now use dinos up to level 35 in all Apex Raids.
  • All members of a flock are now animated when tapping on them in AR (Augmented Reality)
  • Selecting “Collection” when choosing a dinosaur that can be evolved while in the Isle of Trials will correctly lead players to their collection
  • Improved Timer in leaderboards now correctly counts down how much time is left before a refresh

Known Issues:

  • Battle Pass notifications may remain even when items have been collected.
  • When scrolling through the list of eligible creatures in the Team Select screen, the last row of dinos is sometimes cut off.
  • In the Alliance Hub, green notification dot sometimes does not disappear after collecting donated DNA
  • Achievements menu sometimes has a red notification dot even after achievement rewards have been collected.
  • The game might freeze at times, e.g. when collecting an incubator or when the daily reward screen opens

A note on data collecting:

We’d like to take a moment and thank everyone who has been participating in our numerous surveys and providing us with constructive feedback on our forums and social channels. We believe in player feedback and although changes rarely occur immediately, the very tangible data we collect, especially from our surveys, help guide us on our roadmaps and future optimizations.
