Update 3.10 – The Harvest Update

Update 3.10 – The Harvest Update

Release 3.10: The Harvest Update!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Read on to see what’s to come in the Harvest Update!

What’s New?

2 New Dinosaurs will be releasing with Update 3.10

Find DNA of this non-hybrid LEGENDARY dinosaur in Isla Events, and in a special Expedition Drone event following the update!

This UNIQUE hybrid will make a great addition to teams lacking a Cunning-Resilient component. Fuse your own with Sarcosaurus and Animantarx in the lab!

And that’s not all! Look out for more new dinosaurs arriving in your world over the next several weeks. Discover new species and hybrids making their debut in Jurassic World Alive all through December!

Watch out for the flying T. rex crest on your Ability Icons – this is the sign of a new behavior: Cheat Death!

With Cheat Death, your dinosaur can be protected from certain death, remaining at 1 HP for the duration of the effect, even if they receive damage that would otherwise harm them!

Select dinosaurs coming in the 3.10 release cycle will be equipped with this powerful behavior, so keep an eye on your News Center!

IT’S HERE!

Omega Auto-assign allows players to automatically assign Training Points to Omega dinosaurs at the press of a button! You can use this button just once by pressing the Auto Assign button to the left of your Training Points Count, or set the Auto Toggle to ON to automatically assign unused Training Points to this dinosaur whenever you receive them! Use this feature when getting started with an Omega dinosaur, or assigning points to a dinosaur you don’t intend to use frequently. When you are ready to use the Omega dinosaur competitively, you can switch to manually assigning points!

Keep an eye out for further improvements to Omega Training Points assignment!

What’s Improved?

The team has been hard at work improving your Jurassic World Alive experience!

Tier 5 Enhancement Improvements

A long overdue fix! Tier 5 Reactive Abilities that get triggered in Battle will no longer count toward the turn-count of any applied buffs. That means that the length of applied buffs will not be impacted by Reactive Passives, and you’ll be able to use the creature like you did before you unlocked this Enhancement.

Creature Tracker Range Buff

The Creature Tracker has been buffed and has had its range improved! Now you can track dinosaurs up to 3 KM away (1.86 miles). Note that depending on where you are on the Map, this distance may be slightly higher or lower.

Brawl Crest and Reset Communication Improvement

Brawl Crests are an extremely important part of the 4V4 Brawl feature, so we’re upgrading how we show them to you!

You’ll now be able to tell how many more Crests you can earn by winning Brawls up front in the menu, and also see the cap as you gain Crests!
As we stated in a previous note, future seasons for Brawl will reset your Crest counts, converting any leftover Crests to Coins. Be sure to spend on things you want each season! A timer displaying when the currency will be converted is present to make sure you’re aware of when you should spend your Crests by.

Also, with this release your Daily Crest Reset time will be changing to coincide with normal event reset times of 15:00 UCT.

Evolution Discount Communication Improvement

Did you know that we occasionally discount dinosaur level ups? No? You’re not alone! We’ll be adding better communication in the Collection to let you know exactly which dinosaurs have their Evolution costs reduced. We’ve also added a filter to the list that shows all the discounted dinosaur when a discount is running!

Look out for more Collection improvements in the near future. With over 400 dinosaurs available, we’re putting a priority on making the dinosaur you want easier to find!

bunch of dinosaurs got some tune ups – read on for details!

Compsocaulus

This Unique flocker is getting a slight boost to its health. This might seem minor, but along with the update to its Alert Scurry ability that we will go over further down below, we believe this might be the boost these little guys need to be more viable and interesting to play!

Attributes:

Health: 3750 to 3900

Darwezopteryx

This legendary is getting a brand new shine to make it last longer in battle. Its Resilient Strike is getting replaced by a Shielded Heavy Strike, and it will receive Defense Shattering Counter-Attack, to give it a little more bite (I mean, look at those teeth!). On top of that, it will receive a buff to its Damage, as well as an Immunity to Swap Prevention, and some resistance to Rend.

Abilities:

  • Resilient Strike becomes Shielded Heavy Strike
  • Defense Shattering Counter-Attack added

Attributes:

  • Damage: 1000 to 1300

Resistances:

  • Swap Prevention: 0% to 100%
  • Rend: 0% to 50%

Gorgosuchus

Another one that needed some help. This dinosaur loses its Cleanse Vulnerability and Remove Taunt to gain a fairly effective Damage over Time on top of an attack that bypasses two-thirds of the defenses in the game. To ensure that the damage stays up, smacking it in the face now makes it angrier with Counter Ferocity. It also gains Damage over Time Immunity as that can be an issue at lower rarities.

Abilities:

  • Fierce Strike becomes Defense Shattering Wound
  • Counter Ferocity added

Resistances:

  • Damage over Time: 0% to 100%

Spinotahraptor

Continuing the trend of really outdated dinosaurs that were in need of some TLC, this Epic dinosaurs really wasn’t that Epic at all. We’ve removed the very basic Strike from its toolkit to welcome a much more appropriate Cunning Fierce Strike, that will reflect its Dual Classed nature. We’ve also added an On Escape move so that no one can get away! Finally, it will get quite a big Health boost, along with a total immunity to Damage Over Time, and some resistance to Damage Reduction, Vulnerability and Swap Prevention. Better watch out!

Abilities:

  • Strike becomes Cunning Fierce Strike
  • No Escape added

Attributes:

  • Health: 2850 to 3750

Resistances:

  • Damage over Time: 0% to 100%
  • Reduced Damage: 0% to 50%
  • Vulnerability: 0% to 50%
  • Swap Prevention: 0% to 50%

Dsungaripterus

Just because you’re Fierce doesn’t mean you can’t be critically Fierce. That’s what we did to the Dsungaripterus, who is getting a new slate of Resistances to help remain in the fight (and dish out additional damage with criticals). More importantly, it gains the new ability Critical Dual Claws, which helps it to pile on the damage even further. We’ve updated Defense Shattering Strike to Fierce Strike as this is the better version of the move. This’ll be one fly flier.

Abilities:

  • Defense Shattering Strike becomes Fierce Strike
  • Fierce Impact becomes Critical Dual Claws

Attributes:

  • Critical Chance: 5% to 25%

Resistances:

  • Speed Decrease: 0% to 75%
  • Damage over Time: 0% to 100%
  • Critical Chance Reduction: 0% to 50%

Entelodon

A minor update to this dinosaur that sorely needed something, but it’s one of those minor updates that could have big ramifications for its placement in lower-level Arenas and Rare Skill/Advantage tournaments. We took Group Shattering Impact and made it a bit gorier, becoming Group Shattering Trample. To ensure it can do a lot more damage, it now gains a damage buff if its opponent flees the scene, as well as an immunity to Damage over Time. In Jurassic World Alive, the stuck pig bleeds you!

Abilities:

  • Group Shattering Impact becomes Group Shattering Trample
  • Ferocity On Escape added

Resistances:

  • Damage over Time: 0% to 100%

Dimorphodon

Abilities:

  • Strike becomes Fierce Strike

Attributes:

  • Attack: 500 to 900
  • Health: 2700 to 3500

Irritator GEN 2

Abilities:

  • Defense Shattering Strike becomes Group Defense Shattering Strike
  • Ferocious Strike becomes Critical Ferocious Strike

Attributes:

  • Health: 3300 to 3500

Nundasuchus

Abilities:

  • Swap In Ferocity added

Attributes:

  • Attack: 1500 to 1600
  • Critical Chance: 5% to 25%
  • Critical Damage: 125% to 150%

Resistances:

  • Swap Prevention: 0% to 100%

Minor Swoop:

  • Delay removed. Cooldown reduced from 2 to 1.

Alert Scurry:

  • Reduced the cooldown from 3 to 1 when Secure
  • Reduced the cooldown from 3 to 2 when Threatened

What’s Fixed?

The team has been hard at work focusing on some outstanding bugs. Here are a few of the most notable fixes for 3.10!

  • When using the Creature Tracker, the incorrect dinosaur image should no longer appear on occasion.
  • During Raid battles, using Nullify should now proplery remove the Buff icon from the Boss.
  • As mentioned earlier, Tier 5 Reactive Abilities will no longer be applied towards the turn-count of any applied buffs.

We’re currently working on solutions for the following issues:

  • Battle Pass notifications sometimes consider already collected items
  • Friendly challenges cannot be started
  • Video ads can’t be played for free daily incubator
  • At the end of a Raid or a Isla Event boss, the camera might sometimes shows weird angles
  • When scrolling through the list of eligible creatures in the Team Select screen, the last row of creature might be cut off
  • Ability icons sometimes don’t reflect that the ability is in cooldown when playing in Brawl
  • Investigating some Raid invitations not being received

A note on data collecting:

We’d like to take a moment and thank everyone who has been participating in our numerous surveys and providing us with constructive feedback on our forums and social channels. We believe in player feedback and although changes rarely occur immediately, the very tangible data we collect, especially from our surveys, help guide us on our roadmaps and future optimizations.
