December Seasonal Changes…and More

December has arrived and with it, some much longed for content!

The Isle of Trials is Back

Get ready to test your mettle! The Isle of Trials will be returning to the game on December 3rd.

During the brief hiatus, we took our time to review your feedback following the first run of Season 2, and worked to ensure that we improved your experience in future runs. We’re happy to announce the following:

We know that our Drone nodes in particular were almost impossible for players at lower levels, and some Battle nodes had hard-to-achieve requirements. The team has been hard at work addressing this feedback, and you’ll notice a slightly different experience in this second run.

We’ve also adjusted rewards for nodes in both modes, with some nodes scaling up and others scaling down. This is to ensure a fair balance.

It’s time to face off once again against the Mutadon, and more!

Valley of Titans Matchmaking

We’ve been listening to feedback regarding the difficulty of climbing the ranks, particularly in the higher arenas. To create a smoother and more encouraging experience, we’re implementing an adjustment to how arena matchmaking works in Arena 13 (Nublar Shores) and Arena 14 (Valley of Titans), effective December 3rd.

Our primary goal with this change is to improve the player experience for those at the lower end of Arena 13. Currently, players in this range are frequently matched against the highest-ranked players in the tier, which has been leading to frustrating loss streaks. This adjustment will significantly reduce those instances, helping players gain momentum and enjoy a fairer climb!

Becklolyth Balancing

Starting with the December Season (December 3rd), we are making a balance adjustment to Legendary Becklolyth.

Attributes:

  • Attack 1400, down from 1500
  • Armor 0%, down from 10%
  • Speed 129, down from 131

Resistances:

  • Crit Chance 15%, down from 25%
  • Distraction Resistance 25%, down from 50%
  • DOT Resistance 25%, down from 75%

We have made this adjustment with a very specific goal in mind: to ensure the long-term health and variety of the Legendary meta.

These adjustments are designed to bring performance in line with the absolute strongest dinos in the Legendary tier, without dropping it out of contention.

By adjusting Becklolyth now, we prevent a scenario where we would be forced to blacklist it from future Legendary Advantage Tournaments. We want players to be able to use their most powerful dinos in tournaments, and this change secures Becklolyth’s place in the competitive tournament lineup.

We appreciate your understanding as we continue to balance the diverse ecosystem of creatures in Jurassic World Alive.
