March 2025 – Dinosaur Migration Update
With over 400 dinosaurs to collect in Jurassic World Alive (and many more to come), the team has been reworking the distribution system over the last few months. With the work nearly complete, we can now officially share the full list and intentions behind this overhaul.
One of the main reasons for this distribution overhaul is to make it easier for our players to know how, where and when to collect dinosaur DNA – especially new players! Streamlining the distribution and sharing that information directly with you will make it easier for you to plan how you want to play Jurassic World Alive, and where to find the dinosaurs you need to fuse and create Hybrids.
Additionally, the below collections are intended to always be free for all players to find and collect. Exploring the map, joining an Alliance, battling in the Arena will continue to be core ways to unlock these collections, and collection rotations will happen as needed.
What about Legendaries, Uniques and Apexes? I don’t see them on these lists!
Legendary, Unique and Apex Hybrids aren’t going anywhere (even if it may feel like they did). These harder to unlock creatures will continue to appear during special and limited time events. And Hybrids can always be created in the Lab through fusion.
With these collections now in place, we’ll be releasing an improved Weekly Event calendar highlighting when and where these special events will be occurring and what rewards will be available!
Read on for a dinosaur distribution breakdown per feature.
THE MAP
A lot happens on the Map. We know players love to explore the Map to hunt and dart, or find events to battle in, so we’re lifting the lid by sharing some previously ‘secret’ information – Zones.
While there is currently no in-game visual to let you know which Zone you’re in (but stay tuned!) seeing any of the below dinosaurs near your location should give you an indication of what Zone you are currently in.
There are 3 types of spawns per Zone: All Time, Dawn & Day, Dusk & Night.
