Hello Trainers,
You’ve reached out to us across several channels to let us know that the current balance of Coelocephalus and Coelotator isn’t meeting your expectations.
We hear you, and we agree. To be upfront and direct: we made an initial adjustment to Coelocephalus, in response to the stalemate mirror matches you surfaced to us, by adding a group attack and removing the rally heal on its counterattack.
This addressed the mirror match problem, but it also resulted in more of a performance nerf than we intended. Plus, Coelotator was unintentionally caught in the crossfire, since these two dinos share the same counterattack, causing it to drop in power as well.
Since then, many of you have reached out to let us know that we missed the mark on this adjustment, and we want to thank you for your feedback. We appreciate the support you continue to show this game and our community, and we don’t take it for granted. We know a game is only as good as the people who play it, and you all remind us of that every day. We need to do better, and we will do better.
In light of your feedback, we’re internally testing a new adjustment aimed at making both Coelocephalus and Coelotator more balanced and relevant in the current meta. We hope to have those changes reflected in-game in the coming weeks, assuming our testing goes well.
With this in mind, we’ll be sharing more information about our intentions for this change and future changes.
Watch this space for further communications, and thank you for your patience as we take the time to rework these creatures.
